	Bio4Business was founded in March, 2007, by Dr Rolf D Schmid in Stuttgart, Germany. Dr Schmid is trained as a biochemist and microbiologist. His professional career includes post-doctoral studies in France and the USA Director of Biotechnology R&D at Henkel International with laboratories in Dusseldorf, Minneapolis and associated laboratories in Kyoto Vice Director at the German National Biotechnology Center in Braunschweig and Professor for Enzyme Technology at the Technical University of Braunschweig Professor and Director of Technical Biochemistry at the University of Stuttgart Dr Schmid has published books and monographs on various aspects of biotechnology, and books on biotechnology in Japan and China. He and his groups have issued about 400 scientific publications and over hundred patents in many fields of bioscience. Throughout his professional career he has been closely linked to European, American, Japanese and Chinese companies and governmental agencies. He holds an MBA in International marketing from the European School of Business, Reutlingen.
